Natural skincare is becoming extremely popular, everywhere I look it seems that people are ditching the chemicals in favour of products packed with natural ingredients, which I why I was so excited when Fragrance Direct suggested that I could review some products from the brand Urban Veda.

Based on the principles of the traditional holistic healing system of India, Ayurveda, Urban Veda use a combination of herbs, flowers, fruits, multi-vitamins and clinically proven actives to create skincare that protects our skin against the stresses and pollution of the 21st century. I’ve been testing out the Radiance Hydrating Toner and Radiance Day Cream for the past couple of weeks so I wanted to share my initial thoughts with you.

Radiance Hydrating Toner

Toner is a product I tend to skip in my skincare routine because I can find it difficult to identify what it’s actually doing, however I have really been enjoying using this toner as part of my routine and feel like I’ve already spotted a noticeable difference to the texture of my skin. Formulated with Turmeric, the Radiance Hydrating Toner claims to naturally brighten, balance and even skin tone. Since using it twice a day for the past two weeks my skin definitely feels less dehydrated and flakey and has a bit of a glow to it, which is something I’m always looking for with my skincare. I'm hoping that overtime this product will help with some of my acne scarring, as the ingredients are known to be good for treating hyper-pigmentation.

I’ll admit that when I saw Turmeric as a main ingredient I did worry a little about the scent, but I needn’t have because the marigold and patchouli actually give it a light floral fragrance which I adore, so much so that I would buy the scent as a perfume if they sold it!

Radiance Day Cream

The Radiance Day Cream is a rich, creamy moisturiser that actually feels quite light once applied, making it perfect for both morning and night time wear. It contains many of the same ingredients as the toner with the addition of Arjuna Extract which helps to keep skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated. I suffer from dehydrated skin which often feels tight and uncomfortable after cleansing, so this cream is perfect for combatting that feeling and leaving me with a smooth, well moisturised face, the perfect base for my makeup. Both of these products are suitable for those with sensitive skin (like mine), they are also vegan and cruelty free.

Having tried these products for a short amount of time I can honestly say that I’ve been converted to natural skincare and I can’t wait to try more from the brand! Once applied the products actually feel like they’re doing some good to my skin, rather than just masking the issues, and I feel content knowing that there are no nasty hidden ingredients to be concerned about.

Have you tried any products from this brand? You can find more of their range on the Fragrance Direct website.
