Fragrances are probably the safest gifts you can buy for a loved one, and they can also be the most wonderful when chosen well. My perfume choices have defined some of the best memories of my life, a waft of a certain scent takes me straight back to family holidays spent in the sunshine, or falling in love for the first time, bringing the memory back to life in a way that not even photographs can. Fragrance Direct is my favourite shop for fragrance purchases, because they have such a huge range of brands and scents, and I can always find the perfumes on my wishlist for a great price! Here are two of my top picks for Christmas 2017.
For Her
Most of my female friends and family are big fans of floral scents, which is great because they're also my favourites to wear. This year I've chosen Daisy by Marc Jacobs, which is fresh and light with hints of Jasmine, but also romantic and feminine. I can't deny that the bottle is important to me when choosing a fragrance, especially when it's a gift for a loved one, and Daisy is certainly dressing table worthy. I actually chose this as a gift for my sister because I know it's been on her wishlist for a while, but I have since started using it every day, so I'll have to purchase another one for her (it's currently on offer so now seems like the perfect time!)
For Him
My Dad can be a difficult person to buy for, but when it comes to fragrances I know exactly his type. This year I've opted for Joop WOW! which is a warm, woody masculine scent, perfectly suited to him. It's the kind of fragrance that turns heads, which could be dangerous for his ego (just kidding, I love you Dad!) but I know he's going to adore it, and the bottle is attractive enough that my mum will be happy to have it out on display too.
