Charlotte Tilbury's Naughty and Nice Magic Box

Sunday 12 November 2017

This year I decided to treat myself to my first ever beauty advent calendar, and despite all of the amazing products that are on offer this year, only one really caught my eye, Charlotte Tilbury's Naughty and Nice Magic Box. At £150 this is certainly one of the more expensive options, but as a hardcore Tilbury fan I knew it would be worth every penny to me.

Hidden within the 12 beautifully illustrated pull out boxes are 4 full sized products and 8 deluxe samples of some of Charlotte's best sellers from her makeup and skincare ranges. The box itself has a vintage feel (in line with her product packaging), and will make a wonderful jewellery box once emptied. I hadn't planned to name all of the products in order, incase someone wanted it to be a surprise, but then I realised that all of the names of the products are actually written on the boxes ... so on with the post!

1. Wonder Glow - I have actually owned a couple of samples of Wonder Glow previously, so I already know I'm going to love this one. Wonder Glow can either be used as a glow giving primer, or can be applied on top of foundation as a highlighter. I love the formula for priming purposes, it adds a fresh, glowy look to my skin without becoming greasy.

2. Charlotte's Magic Cream - I've wanted to try the Magic Cream moisturiser for a long time, as I've heard so many great reviews. Priced at £70 for a 50ml pot, this 15ml sample contains enough product for a good length trial period if used everyday, else it is a perfect size for travel.

3. Supermodel Body - This body highlighter is the only product I'm not fussed about in this years calendar. The sample is only 15ml in size, which is perfect for a skincare sample, but as a body product a little is really going to have to go a long way! Super Model Body is described as a "slimming, hydrating body shimmer", supposedly containing ingredients which tone your body and reduce puffiness.

4. Rock N Kohl eyeliner in Amber Moon - I have never tried the Rock N Kohl range of eyeliners before, so I'm super excited to try this one in the limited edition shade Amber Moon, which is a gorgeous deep brown. I love that she included a limited edition product in the calendar, although I do hope that she releases this shade permanently in the future.

5. Full Fat Lashes Mascara - I find that sample sizes of mascaras tend to last me a very long time, so I don't mind that this one is a mini. I have yet to try this mascara myself, but I'm liking the look of the brush (fat and fluffy) and I've heard great things about the formula.

6. Multi Miracle Glow - Described as a cleanser, mask and balm, this sample of Multi Miracle Glow can be used on your face for a deep cleanse, left on as a mask, or applied to dry areas of skin such as elbows as a balm.

7. Colour Chameleon Mesmerising Mink - I love the Colour Chameleon eyeshadow pencil range, so I'm so happy this has been included as a full sized product. The shade Mesmerising Mink is a dark purplish silver shade, with a little bit of shimmer, perfect for a festive smoky eye look.

8. Lip Lustre Lip Gloss in Unleash Me - Another full sized product! Unleash me is a gorgeous deep berry shade, completely unlike anything else in my collection. It's super glossy and can be applied with a light hand for a wearable everyday look, or built up to be opaque for a more dramatic look.

9. Goddess Skin Clay Mask - I've read a lot of great reviews on this mask, so I'm excited to try out this sample. Containing sweet almond oil, this mask is supposed to tighten pores and clear imperfections whilst also being moisturising.

10. Matte Revolution Lipstick in Walk Of Shame - Of all of the full sized products in this calendar, Walk of Shame is the one I am most chuffed about! I love Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution range (I've gushed over them in many previous posts, including this one). The formula is amazing! They don't budge, or smudge and they're not at all drying. The shade Walk Of Shame is a beautiful berry red, make sure you open this box nice and early as it would be perfect for a festive look!

11. Take It All Off Eye Makeup Remover - In the next box is a generously sized (30ml) sample of the Take It All Off eye makeup remover. This product looks quite bizarre when in a clear bottle, as the top half seems to be a clear oil, and the bottom half is bright blue. I wish that the sample contained a pump like the full sized version does, as I can see this getting a bit messy!

12. Eyes To Mesmerise in Jean - The Final Product is a full sized Eyes To Mesmerise cream eyeshadow, in the shade Jean, a stunning champagne pink. Most of the products in this box are more on the glam side, but this pretty shimmery champagne colour is ideal for everyday wear.

Now that the guilt of spending £150 on an advent calendar for myself has subsided, I'm so excited for the Christmas countdown to begin so that I can start using some of these products! Will you be treating yourself to a beauty advent calendar this year?
