Hey guys, after an extended break I'm back to blogging! Todays post is in collaboration with Fragrance Direct, who have recently launched a brand new app to make beauty shopping so much easier for their customers. Long time readers of my blog will already know that I am a massive fan of FD, in fact before I buy any perfume, makeup or skincare product I like to check their site first, as they have incredible deals of up to 70% off running all of the time. In addition to giving you some details about the app, I'm also going to show you a few new products that I ordered using it, let's call it a mini summer beauty haul.

The App

I'll admit that I'm a bit of an app addict, if a retailer has an app available then I'll have it downloaded in seconds. I love the convenience of shopping on the go, being able to search and save products much more easily and access information about returns and deliveries in a simple to read format.

Upon downloading the Fragrance Direct app, which is available on both iOS and Android, a banner popped up with an exclusive app only offer of 15% off of my first order (this is available to all new app users, so get downloading!) I knew that I wanted to pick up a couple of bits from Benefit, as I have been dying to try more of their products, so I clicked on the "Brand A-Z" feature and tracked down the brand in a matter of seconds. Most of the search options are the same as the ones available on the website, however the app also provides a barcode scan feature which allows you to find a product simply by taking a photo of the barcode, which will make repurchasing my favs so much easier.

The checkout process is also super quick and simple, allowing you to add discount codes (including free UK delivery for spends over £20 and UNiDAYS) and offering the option to pay securely by either debit or credit card or using Paypal, which is personally my favourite way of making purchases online. Once you've registered for the first time, the app will remember your billing and delivery details, allowing you to find your product, hit checkout and actually pay for it with just a few taps of the screen.

The Haul

Fragrance Direct has a fast stock turnover, which means that amazing new brands are added constantly. As I mentioned above, I was lucky enough to grab a couple bits from Benefit whilst it was available. The first product I added to my basket was the Galifornia blush which I have been wanting to try forever. The shade is a beautiful coral pink, with the tiniest hint of shimmer running through it, perfect for the summertime. I will definitely be bringing it to Santa Monica with me this year.

If you know me at all then I'm sure you'll be expecting a highlighter to feature in this haul, and Im happy to say that you won't be disappointed. I picked up the famous Watt's Up highlighting stick, because I'm really having a moment with cream highlighters right now. I've been applying this gorgeous champagne hue to my cheekbones with my fingertips for a lit from within glow.

At the time of writing this post, Benefit doesn't seem to exist under the brands list, but keep checking back as new brands are added in regularly (on the bright side, there are still more than 600 other brands for you to choose from!)

Now on to the fragrances. My first choice was the highly raved about Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez, which I have seen on hundreds of Instagram feeds recently. This perfume is quite unlike anything else I own, it's floral, containing Bulgarian rose and white jasmine, but not overly flowery, the musk notes add a maturity making it a warm seductive scent, perfect for evening wear.

I couldn't resist picking up Elie Saab's Girl of Now, because the bottle is just so stunning. Containing fruity notes of orange blossom and pear, and floral notes of patchouli, Girl of Now is almost a signature Faye scent! I fell in love from the very first spritz, so I have a feeling I'm going to whizz through the 30ml bottle, fingers crossed it'll still be on offer when I repurchase!

So that was my first experience of using the Fragrance Direct app. Since making this order, I have added another 10 products to my wishlist, so expect to see another haul very soon! The app is free to download, so check it out and let me know how you find it.
