September Favourites

Sunday 1 October 2017

I'm back with my second favourites post! Recently I have been pretty good with sticking to my makeup budget, so this one is going to be a mixed bag of beauty, home-ware and style favourites from the month of September. Grab yourself a cup of something warm and let's get started.

Zoella Beauty and Lifestyle

I've loved most of Zoella's beauty launches, but Jelly and Gelato has to be my favourite to date. I feel like she really nailed the packaging this time, it's so Instagram ready and looks beautiful on display in my bathroom. Of the three products I've tried, the body pudding is my favourite, it smells of fruity ice cream and it soaks in nice and quickly, leaving my skin feeling super soft and moisturised. I also picked up a couple of bits from her latest lifestyle release, my favourite of which is the white and pink Wonderful Journal. The gold lettering definitely makes it look like more expensive than it is, and I always get complimented on it when I carry it around at work.

Havaianas*

At the beginning of September I took my prize holiday to Santorini (you can read about it here) and Havaianas very kindly supplied me with a few pairs of their flip flops to wear, plus the gorgeous pink canvas shoes in the photo above. I find Havaianas to be so comfortable, and easy to slip on and off, I can't imagine not taking a pair to the beach with me, plus they have such a huge range of different colours and styles that you can pick a different pair each day according to your outfit.

Magnitone*

Last month I experienced one of those "pinch me" moments when Magnitone asked me to to be a brand ambassador for them. I'm still quite new to the beauty blogging world, so to be asked to represent such an amazing brand is just incredible! The first product I have received is this pink cleansing brush, which I use two-three times a week for a deep cleanse. After using it my skin feels so soft and smooth, as if it's buffed away all of the dry patches! If you have super sensitive skin like me then I recommend starting with only one use per week (I like to use it on a Sunday night) and then building up to two or three.

Ice Watch*

Within the space of a few months I have gone from owning no watches at all, to not being able to leave the house without one. My current favourite is the City Tanner from Ice Watch, in pink and rose gold. I love that it adds a hint of pink to all of my outfits, without being too 'in your face", it's a classic piece that I can see myself wearing for years to come.

Shabby Store*

The main reason I have cut back on my makeup spending in the past couple of months is so that I can finally put some time and money into sorting out my house, and I have picked up so many beautiful decorative pieces recently! I was lucky enough to receive a couple of home-ware bits from Shabby Store, including the gorgeous silver pineapple tray above (which I am currently storing my jewellery on) and a beautiful little artificial rose which looks so real (you can see it in the first photo!) I have been browsing their website a lot recently, and I've made myself a little shopping list, which includes this stunning Blush Pink Velvet Chair.

The Ultimate Chloe Dupe Bag

And finally, the one that you've all been waiting for (maybe), the gorgeous baby pink Chloe Drew lookalike. I ordered this from an online store called Romwe, which I believe is based in China. I had read a lot of mixed reviews on the website, with some people claiming that their products had taken weeks to arrive, if they arrived at all, but I decided to take the gamble, which paid off. I have wanted to own a Chloe Drew for years, and it's my intention to purchase the real thing early next year, so I decided to buy this dupe version just to see how I would get on with the size, shape and colour of the bag, before parting with hundreds of pounds. I adore the rounded shape, which easily fits all of my essentials (even my new iPhone which is HUGE), but I think when I go for the actual Drew I'll be opting for grey, because the pink is limiting my outfit options a little!

My first experience of using Romwe was great, they kept me up to date with shipping and payment information, and the bag arrived in flawless condition only a week after ordering. Obviously I can only speak from my limited experience, so I recommend doing your research before ordering from them if you're a little worried.

So those were my very mixed September favourites! What have you been loving recently?
