What I Got For Christmas

Sunday 31 December 2017

It's been almost a week since Christmas, the Quality Street have been demolished, the tree is coming down and I finally have some time to appreciate the gifts I received this year. I know these types of posts are a bit of a Marmite subject, but I love them so I decided to put out my own one.

Everlasting Roses

My parents bought me a stunning box of pink everlasting roses, which are roses that have been preserved so that they will live for up to a year. They come in a beautiful white hat box with the name of the company printed on the front in gold (mine are from The Luxury Roses London), which is tied with a pretty pink ribbon. It was such a lovely, thoughtful gift to receive, and one which I will (hopefully) treasure for the whole year.

Beauty

I wasn't expecting to receive much makeup this year, so I was pleasantly surprised that I did get some. My boyfriend bought me a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade English Beauty, which was very brave of him considering I own so many already ... maybe he secretly reads my blog! I've been lusting after this new shade (which has been compared to Pillow Talk) for such a long time, I can't wait to try it on! I also received a new bottle of my all time favourite perfume, Viktor and Rolf's Flowerbomb. Lastly, my brother got me one of the HUDA Beauty contour and strobe sets in the shades Trendsetter and Snobby, I've fallen head over heels for the quirky packaging!

I took part in a Secret Santa this year with some of my best blogger friends (Katie, Nikki, Leanne, Cally, Emily and Gweni) and my Santa (Katie) gifted me my first ever makeup from Colourpop, a set of their Lippie Stix. I've already worn them a few times because I was too excited to wait for photos, and I am IN LOVE with the formula and the shade choices (well done Katie!)

Everything Else

I was lucky enough to receive some home decor bits this year from my sister who followed a mostly marble and gold theme, perfect for my office. I also received a few bits from Anthropologie, including this gorgeous bottle opener which I have had on my wish list for ages, and some pink and white napkins. My mum managed to track down an ALDI Jo Malone dupe candle in the fragrance Pomegranate, I love it but I'm still desperate to own the real thing!

I always ask for records, so this year I received a few, including Stevie Nick's Rock a Little and My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (the best emo album of all time), also lots and lots of chocolate and an electric blanket, which has already changed my life.

I am so, so grateful for all of the incredible gifts I received this year, I know I'm such a lucky ducky. I would love to hear what you received for Christmas, so drop me a comment!
